FAQ
Working With Us
Answers to common questions about studio sessions, film production, and more.
How much do you charge?
We charge an hourly rate to keep things fair and flexible.
For studio work, weekday sessions are $60/hour (2-hour minimum). Weekend sessions are $80/hour (4-hour minimum). Mixing, mastering, and recording are all billed at the same rate.
We quote each film project individually based on scope, locations, and post needs. Let’s talk about your goals, and we’ll put together a custom quote that works for your vision and your budget.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. This helps us keep the calendar organized and ensures your time is reserved.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. If you cancel within that window, your deposit will be refunded or applied to a future session. If not, the deposit is forfeited.
What should I bring to my session?
Bring your instrument(s), any session files or references, a USB stick if you want files on-site, and a good attitude. If you’re a vocalist, we recommend warming up beforehand. If you’re a voice actor, bring your copy and we’ll take care of the rest. We also recommend bringing a sealable, refillable water bottle.
Do you work with full bands?
We mostly work with solo artists and multitrack-friendly bands. Our space is optimized for tracking instruments individually, so no live-off-the-floor style sessions. It’s tight, acoustically treated, and perfect for high-detail work.
Do you offer remote recording or mixing?
We offer remote mastering only. We don’t currently support remote recording or mixing sessions, as we believe in hands-on collaboration and can’t justify the cost of remote recording platforms like Source-Connect.
Can I get my session stems or multitracks?
Yes. If you request them during your session, they’re included in your time. If you need them later, we charge a flat $50 file prep fee. Session files are retained for 30 days unless otherwise arranged.
Do you produce custom beats or film scores?
Absolutely. We create original instrumentals and cinematic cues using a deep library of professional software and virtual instruments. Whether you need a rap beat, a metal instrumental, or an ambient film score, we can compose and produce to spec.
Do you offer voiceover demo reel services?
Yes. We offer full voiceover packages including clean recording, pacing edits, optional mastering, and light music beds if needed. Great for actors, narrators, and content creators.
Will you post my session online?
We reserve the right to share snippets of audio, photos, or video from sessions for promotional purposes—but we respect your privacy. If you prefer we don’t, just let us know at the time of booking.
